The insurance technology company Balcia has entered into strategic cooperation with the Latvian language technology company Tilde to develop a modern internal artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot. The chatbot will help the employees of Balcia to access the companyās current information swiftly and conveniently, thus fostering productivity and efficiency of internal processes. This innovative solution will be implemented with support of the Latvian IT Cluster through participation in the programme āTest Before Investā that allows to try out the technology by investing only in its research and testing in order to verify the usefulness and ability of the technology to improve the daily processes.
āInnovation is the driving force of development of Balcia, therefore the company is actively introducing the latest technologies in everyday work. Co-operation with Tilde is a significant step towards integration of the artificial intelligence in the companyās daily processes. The company wants to provide its employees with swift access to information, opportunity to work more efficiently and have better co-operation. And it is just the beginning ā in the future we plan to offer integration of AI chatbot to our partners to make collaboration even faster and easier,ā points out Ilgvars Girgensons ā Balcia Board member.
“Today, Tilde already offers ready-made AI technologies that we can adapt to our customers’ needs,” explains Madara ManÄinska, Head of Sales and Customer Service at Tilde in the Baltics. āBased on the competence of the companyās scientists, such solutions can be developed in a relatively short period of time. This approach allows companies to quickly and efficiently integrate modern language technology solutions that improve productivity and internal processes.”
Madara stresses that cooperation with innovative companies, like Balcia, is a powerful driving force in development of Tildeās technologies. āHenry Ford once said: ‘If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.ā That’s why we believe that innovation and collaboration are the way forward and we thank Balcia for its trust in Tilde.”

The AI chatbot will be developed in partnership with Tilde and will provide Balciaās employees with instant access to essential company resources, like HR policy, legal guidelines and sales information. The solution entails integration with OpenAI technology to deliver high quality and useful replies. To be of use in Balciaās branches in other countries the chatbot will be available in various languages ā French, Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, German and English.
This AI solution will provide several significant benefits ā it will boost productivity and save time by optimising daily work processes, speed up retrieval of information and generate reliable replies. Being assisted by the chatbot, employees will always have up-to-date and accurate information at their disposal.
